Optometrist

Dr. Dawn Vu is known to give very thorough, personalized, and expert care to all her patients. She prides herself on making sure she communicates frequently and effectively with the entire care team in order to successfully manage her patients.

Licensed optometrist with 20 years of experience in vision therapy and neuro-rehabilitation to diagnose and treat binocular vision disorders following trauma to the head. Dr. Vu has been chosen to be an expert witness and has extensive experience providing depositions related to concussion cases.

Background

Dr. Dawn Vu is the owner-president of Dawn Thanh Vu, OD An Optometric Professional Corporation with locations in Palmdale, CA and Santa Ana, CA.  She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of California, Riverside in 1999 and then earned her Doctor of Optometry degree at the Southern California College of Optometry in 2003.  Dr. Vu holds a Therapeutic Pharmaceutical Agents (TPA) certification in addition to a Glaucoma Diagnosis & Treatment (TPG) certification in the state of CA.  Dr. Vu has also been appointed as Clinical Assistant Professor of the Western University of Health Sciences College of Optometry. 

Dr. Vu provides primary eye care in a clean and inviting setting for your entire family. She is accepting new patients and all ages are welcome. She has extensive experience with scleral and hard-to- fit contacts, such as for keratoconic patients. An additional area in which she has expertise in is neuro-visual rehabilitation for mTBI patients and vision therapy for oculo-motor problems. She also manages and treats glaucoma, dry eye disease, macular degeneration and other ocular problems. Many of these conditions become more prevalent in patients who have suffered a mTBI.
